Torstai / Thursday

Sadetta ja paistetta vuorotellen. Tylsistynyt lapsi,joka pääsi onneksi hetkeksi ulos ja puistoon. Hyvä että oli sateenvarjot mukana. Olohuone on lelujen vallassa,keittön pöytä maalaustarvikkeiden. Minulla paksu kirja kesken,joten olkoot siis. Kauppareissulta aloe vera ja herneitä,kirpparilta orava-kaulakoru ja puinen puskutraktori pieneksi piristykseksi. Vesimelonitkin olivat tarjouksessa. 

Rain and sunshine in turns. Bored P. who luckily got to go outside and to a park. Good thing we had our umbrellas with us. Toys has taken over our living room and painting supplies has taken over our kitchen table. I have a thick book,so I don't mind. Aloe vera and peas from store,a squirrel-necklace and a wooden bulldozer from a flea market for a little cheer-up. Watermelons were on sale too.  

- suloinen tyttömme on nyt 4-vuotias. Jo. Vasta. Osti isomummulta saadulta synttärirahalla itselleen Ariel-barbin ja piti kotona musiikkiesityksen: soitti huuliharppua marakassi kädessä ja rytmimuna sukassa. Mistä lie senkin keksi:) 

- tyttö pääsi myös eilen ensimmäistä kertaa hevosen selkään ja istui siellä kuin vanha tekijä,ei pelännyt yhtään. Minä taisin pelätä enemmän siellä kentän laidalla. 

- ostin Porvoosta 1,5 eurolla hienon pienen maljakon,kuljetan sitä nyt pöydältä toiselle. 

- pakkasessa on melkein seitsemän kiloa mansikoita,olen iloinen kun taivuin vielä poimimaan. Kohta sulatan yhden pussillisen,sen seuraksi vaniljajäätelöä. Oi nam!

- Hoffissa on Taneli Eskolan valokuvanäyttely,sieltä pari hienoa korttia,joista toisen sain ystävältä. Vielä kun keksisi niille hyvän paikan jostain seinältä.

- löysin viime viikolla punarinnan pesän omenapuumme juurelta. Sunnuntaina poikaset lähtivät pesästä,yksi eksyi eteiseemme ja toinen auton alle. Mies pelasti pienet raukat ja antoi emon ohjata ne pois pihalta,pajukon suojaan.  

- our sweet girl is now 4-years old. Already. Just. She bought herself an Ariel-barbie with birthday-money she got from my grandma and had a music-show at home: she played harmonica while holding a maracas and wearing another one in her sock. I wonder where she got that idea from:) 

- P. also sat on a horse for the first time ever yesterday and wasn't afraid at all,vice versa. I think I was more afraid standing there beside the field.

- I bought that little pretty vase from Porvoo (it was only 1,5 e) and now I carry it from table to table. 

- there's almost seven kilos of strawberries in our freezer - I'm happy that I still managed to bend and pick them. Soon I'm going to melt one little bag of them and have some vanilla ice-crem with them. Oh yumm! 

- there's one photo-exhibition at Hoffi-café here in our town,I bought one card from there and got one from my friend. Now I only have to find a good place for them from our walls. 

- I found a robin's nest at the feet of our apple tree last week. On Sunday the young birds left their nest - other one went to our entry and the other one went under our car. E. rescued those poor little birds and let their mother guide them away from our yard,in the shelter of willow thicket.

Eilen / Yesterday

..tehtiin ihana pieni retki Porvooseen ystävän kanssa. Oli paljon naurua,mukulakivikatuja,kauniita vanhoja taloja,kivoja putiikkeja,lohipiirakkaa,porkkanakakkua,suloinen koira-kaveri kahvilassa ja niin rauhallista ja rentoa olla matkassa ihan vain kaksin. Nautimme jokaisesta minuutista.

..we made a little lovely trip to Porvoo city with my friend. There were lots of laughter,cobblestone streets,beautiful old houses,nice boutiques,salmon pie,carrot cake,sweet dog in a café and so peaceful and relaxed to be there just together,without kids. We enjoyed every minute of it. 

Tänään juhlittiin tytön synttäreitä vähän etukäteen. Oli ihania vieraita,hyviä herkkuja ja kivoja lahjoja. Kiitos kovasti kaikille! Ja kuten jo monena vuonna aikaisemminkin,ilma oli läkähdyttävän kuuma ja kostea. Ukkonen tekisi nyt hyvää. 

We celebrated P's birthday today - a little bit in advance. We had some lovely guests,delicious yummies and nice presents. Thank you everyone! And like many years before,the air was very hot and humid. Thunder could do some good now. 

Auringonvalo herättää ja houkuttelee ulos jo aamusta. Hellii meitä koko pitkän päivän,saa mielen raukeaksi,pehmeäksi. Illalla nukahdamme liian myöhään,linnunlauluun ja kesän tuoksuun. 

Sunshine wakes us up and lures us to go outside right in the morning. Cherishes us all day long,makes us feel relaxed and soft. In the evening we fall asleep too late,in the smell of summer,listening to birdsongs.

Heinäkuu / July

Niin se vaan alkoi,ihan varkain. Heinäkuu. Tuli melkein helle ja elämä siirtyi ulos. Päivät hujahtavat vuoroin touhutessa,vuoroin lekotellessa. Sohvalla on pesä odottamassa iltaa. 

So it started,all of a sudden. July. And it's almost heat too,life has moved outside. Days are passing by - both bustling and slacking. There's a nest on the couch waiting for the evening.
