Perjantaina / On Friday

 Älkää antako söpöjen kuvien hämätä - Elli on tietenkin nukkunut paljon huonommin heti kun iloitisin hyvistä yöunista. Hoh hoijaa. Neljän tunnin yöunien jälkeen seuraava päivä oli aika mielenkiintoinen. Kun lähdetiin käymään kaupassa ja nostin Elliä autoon,ihmettelin kun Elli hoki "kenkä,kenkä" ja syykin selvisi heti sillä toisesta jalasta puuttui kenkä kokonaan. Oli vain märkä ja luminen sukka. Kenkää ei näkynyt missään - en ollut muistanut pukea sitä olleenkaan. Elli oli kävellyt autoon vain yksi kenkä jalassaan...Miten voi unohtaa pukea lapselle toisen kengän?! Voi jestas. Naureskellen mentiin vaihtamaan sukkia ja laittamaan myös se toinen kenkä jalkaan..:)) Kaupasta ostin piristykseksi uusia tulppaaneita kuihtuneiden tilalle ja kotona äkkiä nälkäisille ruokaa. Edellisen päivän muusia ja lohta tytöille,itselle pikaisesti lohi-avokado-bagel. Samalla ostokset kaappeihin,teetä hautumaan,makaronia kiehumaan,sipulia pilkkomaan ja muita seuraavan aterian valmisteluja. Pakko oli kuitenkin napata kiiressä kuva bagelista ja muista,ensin puhelimella,sitten kameralla. No puhelinhan tippui keskelle melonilautasta,melonit ja sen vedet roiskuivat ympäri pöytää ja minua ja lapsia,lempilautaseni halkesi,tytöt repesivät nauruun ja itse en tiennyt pitäisikö itkeä vai nauraa. Puhelin säilyi onneksi ehjänä..ja uusi kuva oli tietenkin otettava kun sotkut oli siivottu:) Että sellaista. Muissa kuvissa hehkuva auringonlasku,laskiaispullaa ja teetä Hoffissa,kaunis sumu ja ihana uusi mummo-takkini minkä löysin Fidasta. Mutta nyt äkkiä nukkumaan - hyvää uutta viikkoa kaikille!

Don't let these cute pictures fool you - ofcourse Elli hasn't slept well right after I was happy about those few good nights. Oh oh. After four hours of sleep the next day was quite interesting. When we left to the market and I lifted Elli in to the car,she repeated "shoe,shoe" and I found out why right away - she was missing a shoe from her right leg. There was only wet and snowy sock. No shoe in sight - I hadn't remembered to put it on at all. Elli had walked to the car with only a one shoe on...I mean..how can you forget t0 put a shoe on to your child?! Oh dear. We went to change socks and put on that other shoes too  with laughter..:)) I brought some new tulips to cheer me up and to replace the wizened ones and then quickly some food to hungry girls at home. Mashed potatoes and salmon from previous day for the girls and a quick salmon-avocado-bagel for me. At the same time I put the groceries in to cabinets,some tea to brew,macaroni to boil and chopped onions and other preps for the next meal. But I just had to take a picture of the bagel and other stuff in a hurry,first with my phone,then with my camera. Well I dropped my phone in the middle of that watermelon plate,melons and its water splashed all around the table and me and the girls,my favourite plate cracked,girls burst to laugh and I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. My phone luckily survived..and ofcourse I had to take a new picture after I cleand the mess:) So that's how it's been like here. In othere pictures a glowing sunset,semla and tea at Cafe Hoffi,beautiful fog and my new lovely granny-coat which I found from a flea market. But now I must go quickly to sleep - happy new week to everyone!

Hei helmikuu! / Hello February!

Helmikuu tuntuu hyvältä jo nyt. Vaikka on vielä talvi,kevät on jo askeleen lähempänä. On lauhaa ja harmaata - vaan siltikin valoisaa. Pitkästä aikaa ehdin kutomaan,ranteenlämmittiä yhä vain mutta ehkä joskus vielä jotain muutakin. Elli nukkui kaksi yötä melkein kokonaan omassa sängyssään,se antaa toivoa tuleville öille. Ja posti toi kirjeen - Pepin voi ilmoittaa eskariin. Apua! Eihän Peppi vielä voi olla niin vanha?

February feels already good. Even though it's still winter,spring is already a big step closer. It's warm(er) and grey - but still bright. After a long time I have time to knit,wrist warmes still but maybe someday something else. Elli slept almost two whole nights in her own bed,it gives hope for coming nights. And we got a letter from mail - we can now sing Peppi for pre-school. Oh my! Peppi can't be that old already,can't she?

5. Another reality-picture. This is how it really looks like in our house,all the time. There is a clean moment in the evening if I have enough strength to put everything on their places. Usually I don't have.

Yli viikko edellisestä postauksesta,ohhoh kun aika kiitää! On ollut kaikenlaista - vaan samanlaista kuin aina ennenkin..

- yhä vain hyytävä pakkanen ja tuo lumoava valo (tosin tänään vain - 10°c mikä tuntuu melkein lämpimältä)

- kauniisti kuihtuvia tulppaaneita ja litroittain kuumaa teetä

 Elli on kiltti ja suloinen vaikka ei vieläkään nuku hyvin. Tanssii,kiipeää ja pölisee koko ajan. Tykkää vain Pepin leluista,niistä parhaita on pienet nuket,hepat,autot ja legot. On alkanut kiinnostumaan enemmän kirjoista ja matkii aivan kaikkea. Riisuu ja yrittää kovasti pukea itse. Tykkää olla pulkassa,mutta ei tykkää istua autossa. Rakastaa peittojaan ja kantaa niitä joka paikkaan. Kantaa myös isoa nahkarahia ympäriinsä ja kiipeilee sen avulla uusiin paikkoihin. Rakastaa myös kylpemistä,kananmunia ja mitä tahansa makeaa. Ja teetä. Maistelee mielellään myös isin kahvia ja syöttää ruokiaan Pessi-koiralle. Nimensä mukaisesti kyllä ihan kirsikka - makea ja kirpeä:)

Over a week since my last post,oh how the time flies! There's been all kinds of things - but the same as always...

- still a freezing cold weather and that mesmerizing light (although it's been only - 10°c today which feels almost warm) 

- beautifully wizened tulips and litres of tea

- cardigans,woolly socks and new shoes with wool-lining

- a trip to Kasvihuoneilmiö (greenhouse effect in english - it's an old greenhouse turned into a shop and café)  

- gorgeous sunsets

- first laskiaispullas - semlas (buns with cream and jam)

- seven minute work outs in the evenings :)

- nice girls playing together and Elli who is 1,5 years old today! Elli is sweet and kind although she doesn't sleep well. Dances,climbs and jabbers all the time. Likes only Peppi's toys - small dolls,horses,cars and legos are the best. Is more interested of books now and mimics everything. Takes off her clothes and tries to put them on. Likes to be in a sled but doesn't like to sit in a car. Loves her blankets and carries them everywhere. Carries also a big leather footstool all around and climbs to new places with it. Also loves bathing,eggs and anyhting sweet. And tea. Also likes to taste her daddys coffee and feeds her food to our dog.  And she's just like her name,a cherry - sweet and sour:)

Kirpeitä pakkaspäiviä yhä vain. Ja tämä ihmeellinen valo. Tykkään.
