Oi, toukokuu on täällä! Ihan yhtäkkiä on ihana hento vihreä puissa, metsä täynnä valkovuokkoja ja taianomainen valo iltaisin.

Olen kirjoitellut ja lähettänyt paljon kortteja ja Ellikin innostui enkä kestä näitä! Aivan liian suloisia.

Voi pöljät kanat. Nämä kolme vain änkevät tuohon samaan kohtaan ja hautovat - tyhjää, sillä eivät muni. Kaksi muutakaan eivät muni koska mikään muu paikka kuin tuo ei käy ja siihen ei pääse. En kestä. Käymme nostamassa nuo monta kertaa päivässä pois ja välillä laitamme luukunkin kiinni etteivät menisi heti takaisin. En tiedä miksi ne tekevät näin mutta tämä käynyt ennenkin ja menee jossain vaiheessa ohi.
/ Oh fool chickens. These three just stuff theirselves into that same place and hatch - empty, because they wont lay eggs. And two others wont lay any eggs either because they don't like any other place than that and they can't use it. I mean..I just can't. We pick them off many times a day and sometimes we close the hatch so they wouldn't go right back in. I don't know why they so this but it's happened before and will pass eventually.
Ostin Liivialta upeat villasukat ja ne tulivat niin kauniisti paketoituna. Innostuin kaivamaan omatkin kutimet esiin melkein kolmen vuoden tauon jälkeen. Vanhoja keskeneräisiä töitä on monta, teen ne pikkuhiljaa valmiiksi ja ehkä teen uusia. Mukavaa taas kutoa pitkästä aikaa.
/ I bought these gorgeous woolen socks from Liivia and they came so nicely wrapped. I got inspired to dug out my own knittings too, after almost three years. I have lot's of old unfinished work, I will slowly finish them and maybe will make new ones. It's nice to knit again.
Oli myös vappu ja itsetehtyjä s u p e r h y v i ä munkkeja!! Oikeasti, parhaita mitä olen syönyt ja olen syönyt tosi paljon munkkeja elämäni aikana :) Huh huh.

Sain muutama viikko sitten ystävältä kirjeen ja siitä tuli mieleen etten itse enää lähetä kirjeitä tai kortteja niin kuin ennen. Silti minulla on paljon kortteja - niitä on tullut osteltua sieltä täältä ja lisäksi on näitä omiani. Kaivoin sitten kaikki korttini esiin ja kyselin instagramissa jos joku haluaisi saada minulta kortin ja voi miten moni halusi! Kirjoittelin niitä viime viikolla ja lähetin ympäri maailmaa - Uuteen Seelantiin, Kanadaan, Ranskaan, Sloveniaa, Ruotsiin, Intiaan..vaikka minne! Toivottavasti löytävät perille :) Vielä on monta kirjoittamatta ja lähettämättä ja ajattelin ryhtyä siihen seuraavaksi.
/ I got a letter from my friend few weeks ago and it got me thinking that I don't send letters or cards as I used to. Still, I gave lots of cards - I've bought them from here and there and in addition I have these from my own pictures. So I dug out all my cards and asked in instagram if someone would like to gave a card from me and oh how many wanted! I wrote them last week and sent all over the world - to New Zealand, Canada, France, Slovenia, Sweden, India..to everywhere! I hope they find their ways :) I still have lot's to write and send and I'm going to do it next.
Vappukimppu ja munkkitaikinaa.

Yhtäkkiä pihakin vihertää ja ilta-aurinko ylettyy pihaamme asti. Monena iltana istuskelen terassilla viimeisessä valossa, juon teetä, kuuntelen lintuja ja nautin.
/ Suddenly our yard is green too and the evening sun reaches all the way to our yard. On many evenings I sit on the terrace in the last light, drink tea and enjoy.
Mies teki erimallisia munkkeja, nuo pötköt olivat hienoja - ja helppoja syödä :)

Ja taas muutamana päivänä vähän lämpimämpää, miten hyvältä se tuntuukaan. On ollut myös kävelyitä, pyöräilyä, uusi trampoliini tytöille, vähän pihahommia ja koronankin suhteen uusia päätöksiä. Koulut avataan viikon päästä, 14.5. kahdeksi viikoksi. Tuntuu vähän oudolta ja ehkä haikealtakin kun etäkoulu loppuu. Tähän on tottunut ja suurimmaksi osaksi kaikki on sujunut ihan hyvin. Enkä ole ihan varma onko järkeä avata koulut vain kahden viikon vuoksi, varsinkin kun kouluissa pitää nyt ottaa huomioon hygienia aivan eri tavalla eikä se isoissa kouluissa ole luultavasti kauhean helppoa. Mutta katsotaan mitä tapahtuu, kaksi viikkoa nyt menee ihan hujauksessa. Ystäviä on varmasti mukava nähdä - ja opettajiakin. Ja saa vähän muistutusta siitä millaista se koulussa käyminen oikein olikaan :)
/ And again a bit warmer on few day, oh how good it feels. There's also been walks, biking, a new trampoline for the girls, bit of gardening and some decisions about corona. The schools will open in one week, on 14.5 for two weeks. It feels bit weird and even sad too as this "distance learning" will end. We've used to this and mostly everything has gone well. And I'm not quite sure if there's any point to open the schools for only two weeks, especially as they have to consider all hygienia-things differently and it wont probably be quite easy in big schools. But let's see what happens, two weeks goes fast anyway. I bet it's nice to see friends - and teacher too. And to get reminded of what was it like to go to school again :)
