Sitä, tätä ja rompetta / This, that and stuff

Oi ihana kesäkuu! Olet liian nopea ja sykähdyttävä ja yllättävä ja kaunis. 

Nyt on jo juhannus. Yötön yö. Enää reilu viikko kesäkuuta jäljellä. Suloinen suvi on aina liian lyhyt. 

/ Oh lovely June! You're so fast and rousing and surprising and beautiful. 

And now it's already midsummer. Nightless night. Only a bit over a week left of June. Sweet summer is always too short. 

Tein raparperipiirakkaa ja -mehua ja molemmat olivat hyviä ja helppoja. Ehkä teen vielä lisää jos ehdin! 

/ I made rhubarb-pie and -cordial and both were good and easy. Maybe I'll make more if I have time!

Kanat ovat niin pöhköjä. Änkevät aina samaan laatikkoon munimaan ja hautomaan. Kerran oli neljä tuossa samassa.

/ Chickens are so silly. They always go into that same box to lay eggs. Once there were four in it. 

Tämä oli niin mukava hyvän mielen kirja.  

/ This was such a nice happy book. 

Tytöt 1.6, viimeisenä koulupäivänä!

/ Girls on 1.6, on the last school day!

Ja oli pakko laittaa vertailukuva syksyltä, ensimmäiseltä koulu- ja eskaripäivältä. En kestä miten paljon molemmat on kasvaneet..!

/ And I had to put a picture from autumn as a comparison. It's from the first school/pre-school day. I can't handle how much they've changed..!

On ollut ihanan lämmintä, hellettäkin ihan kunnolla. Uimassa on käyty siis paljon! Paitsi minä :)

/ It's been lovely warm, even some real heats. So we've been swimming a lot! Except me :) 

Ja 8.6 järjestettiin Parolan Aseman rompetori! Pidin siellä taas kahvilaa ystävieni kanssa ja tällä kertaa mentiin paikalla järjestelemään tosi aikaisin että ehdittäisiin vähän kiertelemäänkin. Tein pari kivaa löytöä mutta oikeasti siellä olisi pitänyt kierrellä kaikessa rauhassa ainakin pari tuntia, aarteita oli niin paljon! 

/ And on 8.6 there was Parola's Railway Station's Rompertori, this lovely flea market event. I had a cafe there again with my friends and this time we went there super-early to organize so we could have time to wander around. I made few nice finds but really, you should've had at least couple hours to wander there in peace, there were so much stuff!

Elli oli mukana järjestelemässä. 

/ Elli was organizing with me. 

Tämä kirja oli niiiiiin hyvä. Pakko lainata uudestaan tai ostaa jopa ihan oma. En yleensä lue mitään tuon tyylisiä enkä enää edes muista miten päädyin lainamaan tuon mutta joo-o. Kyllä pisti miettimään. 

/ This book was soon good. I have to loan it again or even buy myself a one. I don't usually read these kind of books and I cant even remember anymore how I ended up loaning that but oh yes. It really made me think a lot.

Lisää kuvia ja juttuja on vaikka kuinka paljon, kun vaan malttaisi taas hetkeksi tulla tänne! Mutta nyt lähdetään yöpyöräilemään ja ihastelemaan yötöntä yötä. Kaunista juhannusta!!

/ I have lot's of pictures and stories, I just need to find time to come here again for a minute! But now we'll leave for a night bike ride and to admire the nightless night. Beautiful midsummer to you!

Neljä päivää / Four days

Viime viikolla oli neljä ihanan leppoisaa vapaapäivää. Kuin pieni loma. Emme tehneet oikeastaan mitään erityistä ja ehkä juuri siksi olikin niin mukavaa. Viikonlopulle oli kyllä kerrankin suunnitelmia mutta ne peruuntuivat huonon sään vuoksi. Ei sekään sitten lopulta haitannut. 

/ Last week I had four lovely and cosy free days. Like a little vacation. We didn't actually do anything special and maybe that's why it was so nice. For once we got plans for the weekend but they got cancelled because of bad weather. But in the end, that didn't bother us at all.

Tässä kuva samasta paikasta kuin viime postauksessa - minkä sanoin käyväni ottamassa. Kahden viikon aikana aikamoinen muutos!

/ This is the same place as in my last post that I told you I would take. What a change in two weeks!

Tätä hetkeä olen odottanut niin kauan - luonnonkukkien poimimista ja sitä, että voin täyttää niillä kaikki maljakot. 

/ I've been waiting for this moment so long - picking wild flowers and filling all my vases with them. 

Sunnuntaina käytiin Tervakoskella Talli cafessa ja testattiin paikan pizzabuffet. Erinomaisen hyvää oli! Lempparini oli sellainen pizza bianco-tyylinen missä ei ollut siis tomaattikastiketta ollenkaan vaan jotain hyvää juustoa - ja saksanpähkinöitä! Ja tämä on hämmästyttävää sillä en oikeastaan juuri pidä juustoista enkä saksanpähkinöistä. Mutta se oli niin hyvää että jäi oikein mieleen - ja sitä pitää saada uudestaan! 

/ On Sunday we went to Talli Cafe and tested its pizza buffet. Really really tasty! My favorite was pizza bianco-style with some good cheese - and walnuts! And this is strange because I don't really like cheese or walnuts. But that was so delicious that it stayed on my mind - and I need to get it again!

Ja maanantaina tein piiiiitkästä aikaa kakun. Viimeisen kouluviikon, kesän, maanantain ja auringonpaisteen kunniaksi ja ihan erityisesti miehelle myöhäiseksi synttärikakuksi. 

/ And on Monday I made a cake after a looooooong time. For last school week, for Monday, for sunshine and especially for E. as a late birthday cake. 

Ihana, ihana kuppi (jota kuulemma monet ovat yrittäneet ostaa) ja hassut tytöt Talli cafessa.

/ Lovely, lovely cup (that many have tried to buy, I was told) and funny girls at Talli Cafe.  

Kohelsin. Siinä meni vanha lempikulhoni ja kaunis Arabian kannu. 

/ I was clumsy. There went my old favorite bowl and pretty Arabia-jug.

 Laitettiin Ellin kanssa mekot päälle ja mentiin metsään nuuhkimaan kieloja ja keräämään kukkasia ja ottamaan vähän valokuvia. Oli suloista (paitsi hyttyset). 

/ We put dresses on with Elli and went to the forest to smell lilies of the valley and pick flowers and take pictures. It was sweet (except mosquitos). 

Löysin tämän mekon Fidasta seitsemällä eurolla ja siitä tuli heti uusi lemppari. Kunnon 90's-mom-dress. 

/ I found this dress from charity shop with 7 euros and it became my new favorite right away. Real 90's-mom-dress. 

Olen tainnut unohtaa kertoa että meille tuli talvella kolme gerbiiliä! Se miten ne meille tulivat on kyllä sellainen tarina että kerron sen kokonaan joskus myöhemmin :) Mutta ovat ne söpöjä! Ja tytöt tykkäävät. 

/ I think I haven't told you that we got three gerbils this winter! The story how they came to us is so hilarious that I will tell it to you later :) But they are cute :) And the girls like them. 

Pizzabuffetin jälkkäriksi muurinpohjalettuja, hilloa ja kermavaahtoa. Luoja miten hyviä!

/ Thin crepes with creme and jam as a dessert in pizza buffet. Oh lord. Too good!

Elli otti myös oman pienen kukkakirjansa mukaan ja etsittiin siitä kaikki erilaiset kukat mitä löydettiin. 

/ Elli also took her little flower book with her in the forest and we searched all the different flowers from there that we found. 

Kakku hävisi kymmenessä minuutissa. 

/ The cake disappeared in then minutes. 

Oli kiva päivä Ellin kanssa, tuli mieleen ne päivät kun olin paljon enemmän kotona ja paljon vähemmän töissä. Ne olivat aika ihania päiviä. 

/ I had such a nice day with Elli. It reminded me of those days when I was staying home a lot more and working less. Those were quite lovely days.
