Kesäkuussa (2022) / In June (2022)

 

Tässä muutama kuva kesäkuun alusta, ennen kesälomareissuamme. Oli syreenit, oli lämpö. Paljon töitä, kiireisiä päiviä. Ihana, sykähdyttävä kesän alku. 

Oli myös mahtava Rompetori Parolan Asemalla. Kaunis kesäpäivä, ihana vilinä, iloisia ihmisiä, paljon herkkuja ja hyvä mieli kaikilla. 

/ There was also the flea market 'Rompetori' in Parola's Railway Station. Beautiful summer day, lovely hustle, happy people, lots of treats and a good mood on everyone. 

Viime kevään keramiikkaa - ai kun näyttävätkin niin kivoilta näin jälkikäteen! Melkein kaikki myin, vain tuo keskimmäinen muki ja suitsuke-alustat jätin omaan käyttöön :) 

/ Ceramics from last spring - oh how they look so nice, looking back at them now! I've sold almost all, just kept the mug in the middle and those incense-holders :) 

Oli kävelyitä, kukkakimppuja, raparperimehua ja raparperin tuoksuinen koti, kesälomalle jääneet tytöt, paljon siivoamista ja pakkailua ja ihana kutkuttava odotus - lähdimme maanantaina 13.6 kohti Tanskaa ja siitä tulossa monta postausta seuraavaksi! 

/ There were walks, flowers bouquets, rhubarb-juice and rhubarb-scented home, girls who started their summer vacation, lots of cleaning and packing and that lovely thrilling waiting - we left towards Denmark on Monday 13th of June and there will be many posts about our trip next!

Toukokuu 2022 / May 2022

Kevät - ja erityisesti toukokuu - on kyllä ihmeellinen. Aina uudestaan, vuosi toisensa jälkeen sitä jaksaa yllättyä ja hämmästyä ja hullaantua tästä kaikesta - valosta, lämmöstä, luonnon heräämisestä. 

/ Spring - and especially May - is just wonderful. Year after year, again and again you will be surprised and astonished and infatuated by this all - the light, warmth, nature waking up. 

Se ensimmäinen lämmin päivä - ja minä epäuskoisena. Voiko tosiaan olla näin lämmintä, näin ihanaa? 

/ That first warm day - and me unbelieving. Can it really be this warm, this wonderful? 

Miehen synttäreitä juhlitaan toukokuussa ja on aina niin ihanaa päästä tekemään kakkua kesän ensimmäisistä mansikoista ja koristella se kukkasilla - nämä ovat sellaisia mitä marraskuussa syntynyt ei ikinä omaan kakkuunsa saa :) 

/ My husbands birthday is been celebrated in May and it's always so lovely to make a cake from the first strawberries of the summer and decorate it with flowers - these are those kind of things that one born in November can't never have in her cake :) 

Koko tämän kuluvan toukokuun olen odottanut sumuisia aamuja - tai edes yhtä. Mutta ei ole juuri sumuja näkynyt. Tämä viime toukokuun sumuinen aamu oli niin älyttömän kaunis että en kyllä unohda sitä ikinä. 

/ All this passing May I've been waiting for foggy mornings - or even one. But there hasn't been any fog. This foggy morning from last May was so ridiculously beautiful that I won't ever forget it.
