Independence Day

Leppoisa itsenäisyyspäivä. Elli piti huolen aikaisesta herätyksestä,mutta iso kannullinen teetä ja laiskottelu pitkälle päivään auttoivat. Käveltiin ja leikittiin räntäsateessa ja vaikka ilma olikin aika surkea,oli kiva saada edes jotain valkoista maahan. Käytiin myös katsomassa paraatia,se kun meni ohi tuosta melko läheltä ja oltiin sopivasti ulkona. Loppupäivä ollaan touhuiltu sisällä - tehty hyvää ruokaa,poltettu paljon kynttilöitä,kuunneltu jouluradiota,saunottu,luettu ja herkuteltu. Kohta elokuva,kutomista ja lisää teetä. Mukavaa iltaa teillekin!

Cosy Independence Day. Elli took care of early wake up but big teapot and being lazy all morning helped. We walked and played in the sleet and even though the weather was quite miserable,it was nice to have even something white on the ground. We also went to see the Independence Day parade which was in our town this year. Rest of the day we've been doing this and that inside the house - we made some delicious food,burned lot's of candles,listened to christmas radio,been to sauna,read and feasted. Next - movie,knitting and more tea. Have a nice evening!

Hello December!

Joulukuun ensimmäisenä hidas ja harmaa aamu. Herkuttelen riisipuurolla ja hörpin paljon kuumaa teetä uudesta mukistani. Kaipaan aurinkoa ja valoa,odotan hyasinttien aukeamista. Piiloudun viltin alle vielä hetkeksi ennen kuin on pakko aloittaa arki. 

Kuvissa synttäriherkkuja ja ihanuuksia Leivintuvan Joulumarkkinoilta. Ehdin kiertämään siellä pikaisesti ennen töitä ja ostin taas ihanan Tuias-mukin.

Slow and grey morning on the first day of December. I'm feasting with rice porridge and sipping hot tea from my new mug. I miss the sun and light and wait for the hyacinths to open. I hide under a blanket just for a moment before the weekday hustle starts again.

There are some birthday yummies and lovely things from the Christmas fair in these pictures. I walked through the fair quickly before I went to work and I bought one of those lovely white mugs again.
