Lempeä, kaunis lokakuu. Niin kaunis. Keväällä ajattelen ettei ole mitään kauniimpaa kuin hiljaa heräävä luonto, hento uusi vihreä ja ensimmäiset rohkeat kukat. Mutta sitten, kun syksy tulee ja kaikki hiipuu ja haalenee, en voi olla miettimättä..tämä on kauneinta. Kaikki nämä sävyt, metsän tuoksu, syksyn raikkaus.
/ Tender, beautiful October. So beautiful. In spring I think that there's nothing more beautiful than the slowly waking nature, delicate new green and the first brave flowers. But then, when autumn comes and everything fades and withers, I can not think..this is the most beautiful. All these tones, the scent of forest, the freshness of autumn.
Yhden sumuisen päivän vietin juoksentelemalla pellolla ja metsässä ja huokailin ääneen koska oli niin kaunista. Ihan hitunen kuuraa puiden oksilla ja maassa ja ihana, paksu sumu joka piilotti kaiken. Minutkin.
/ I spent one foggy day by running around on a field and in a forest and sighed out loud because it was so beautiful. Just a hint of frost on the leaves and on the ground and lovely, thick fog that hid everything. Even me.
Kuvasin yhtenä päivänä myös ystävääni sekä hänen koiraansa Mimosaa joka on siis Mintun sisko, ai että mikä söpöläinen!
/ On one day I also took pictures of my friend and her dog Mimosa who is Minttu's sister, oh what a cutie!

Lokakuussa leivoin monta kertaa näitä mustikka-kardemumma-muffinseja - super-nopeita, helppoja ja todella hyviä!
/ I baked these blueberry-cardamom-muffins many times in October - super fast, easy and really good!
Säästin yhden viikon kesälomastani tänne lokakuulle jotta voisimme olla syysloman yhdessä ja se oli hyvä päätös! Ensinnäkin olin jo aivan loman tarpeessa ja toiseksi - lähdimme Lappiin! Ensimmäisen yön vietimme Kuusamossa missä heräsimme valkoiseen maisemaan. Näimme poroja, hirven, metson ja vaikka mitä. Kuusamosta suuntasimme Leville missä vietimme muutaman täydellisen päivän.
/ I saved one week of my summer vacation to here in October so we could spent autumn vacation together and that was a good decision! First, I was so in the need of a vacation and second - we went to Lapland! We stayed the first night in Kuusamo where we woke up to white views. We saw reindeer, a moose, a wood grouse and so much more. From Kuusamo we went to Levi where we spent few perfect days.
Yhden ihanan päivän jälkeen lähdettiin vielä pienelle pyöräilylle juuri ennen auringonlaskua. Ajeltiin kivaa polkua pitkin ja jo hetkessä oltiin keskellä metsää ja tuntureita, kaukana Levin hulinasta. Näin tämän pienen avoimen kohdan ja pysähdyin, mies jatkoi matkaa. Olin ottanut lempihameeni mukaan ja vaihdoin sen keskellä metsää, naureskellen itselleni. Ketään ei näkynyt missään. Pöllö sujahti ohitseni ja pelästytti minut ja koko tuon ajan jostain kauempaa kuului ihana porokellon kalkatus, muuten oli aivan hiljaista. Aurinko laski ja oli violettia ja vaaleanpunaista ja harmaata. Eikä tuntunut edes kylmältä kun olimme ajaneet pyörillä niin kovaa. Lopulta kyllä sormia palelsi ja puin päälle ja pakkasin tavarani. Ajeltiin vielä pidempää kiertoteitä takaisin asuntoautolle💙
/ After one lovely day we went for a little like ride just before sunset. We drove on a nice path and after only a minute we were in the middle of a forest and fjells, far from Levi's hustle. I saw this little open space and stopped as he continued. I took my fave skirt with me and I changed it there in the middle of the forest, laughing to myself. There were no-one else. An owl flew by me and scared me and all that time I heard a distant clatter of a reindeer bell, otherwise it was totally silent. Sun was setting and it was violet and pink and grey. I didn't even feel cold because we drove there so fast. In the end my fingers were freezing though and I dressed and packed my stuff. We drove back to our camper van a bit longer detour.

Luin tämän päivässä. Monesti unohdin että tämä kaikki oli jonkun oikeaa elämää, oikeasti tapahtunutta. Ihmisiä ja uskomuksia on niin monenlaisia.. Kaikki nämä kirjan tapahtumat tuntuivat hyvin kaukaisilta jos niin nyt voi sanoa..aina ei tajuakaan mitä kaikkea elämä voisi olla jos olisi sattunut syntymään jonnekin muualle.
/ I read this in one day. Many times I forgot that this was actually someone's life, something that had really happened. There are so many different kind of people and beliefs.. All these things happening in this book felt very distant I you can say so..you can't always realize what your life could be if you just had happened to born in somewhere else.

Ensimmäisenä päivänä Levillä herättiin sakeaan sumuun ja harmauteen mutta mentiin silti tunturin huipulle ja siellä oli lunta ja valoa! Ja sumuakin, välillä enemmän välillä vähemmän. Seikkailtiin siellä pari tuntia.
/ On our first day in Levi we woke up to a thick fog and grayness but we went up to the fjell anywhere and there was snow and light! And fog too, sometimes more sometimes less. We adventured few hours there.
Voi lokakuu, olit kyllä kaunis ja hyvä.
