Seuraavaksi joulu / Next, Christmas

Ihan kohta on joulu. Aikaa olla, aikaa rentoutua ja nauttia. 

Kuusi kimmeltää niin ihanasti olohuoneessa ja lahjojakin on ilmestynyt korillinen. Paketoin kohta vielä muutaman viimeisen mitä en eilen ehtinyt, sitten nukkumaan. On ollut pitkä päivä mutta nyt on niin hyvä olo. Kaikki on valmista ja joulu saa tulla. 

/ Really soon it's Christmas. Time to be, time to relax and enjoy. 

The tree is glistening so wonderfully in the living room and there's a basket full of presents waiting here too. I will wrap few last ones next as I didn't have time to do it yesterday, then it's bedtime. It's been a long day but I feel so good now. Everything is ready and Christmas can come. 

Nämä kuvat ovat joulukuulta. Viikonloppuisin on ollut aikaa metsäkävelyille ja pienille jouluisille hetkille. 

/ These pictures are form December. On weekends we've had time for forest walks and little christmassy moments. 

Leivottiin ensimmäiset piparit jo kuun alussa ja nehän katosivat hetkessä. Nyt jääkaapissa odottaa uusi taikina ja aivan erityisen hyvä - tilasin sen meiltä töistä. Ai että! 

/ We baked the first gingerbread cookies early in December and they vanished in a moment. Now there's a new dough waiting in the fridge and it's especially good - I ordered it from my work (at the bakery! Oh my!

Koti ei ole täydellisen siisti, mitään en jaksanut puunata. Kaapit pursuilevat tuttuun tapaan ja pyykkejä kuivuu siellä täällä. Ruoat on ostettu melkein kaikki valmiina eikä suklaata taida olla tarpeeksi :) Vaan silti, silti kaikki on tosiaankin aivan täydellistä nyt. Ulkona on jopa ohuelti lunta! 

Rakastan tätä hetkeä ja varsinkin iltaa aina ennen aattoa, kun kaikki on tehty, kun illalla vielä paketoidaan tyttöjen mentyä nukkumaan, napsitaan samalla vähän marmeladia ja suklaata. Juodaan teetä liian myöhään. Sitten nukkumaan, itsekin jo odottaen aamua.

/ Home isn't perfectly clean, I just didn't have energy to clean. The cabinets are bursting with stuff as always and laundry is drying here and there. We bought almost all the food as ready-made and I'm not sure if we have enough chocolate :) But still, still everything really is perfect now. There's even a thin layer of snow outside! 

I love this moment and especially this evening before Christmas eve, when everything is done, when we still wrap gifts after the girls has gone to bed, eat some marmalade and chocolate at the same time. Drink tea too late. Then to bed, already waiting for tomorrow too.

Ihana lokakuu 2 / Lovely October 2

Lokakuu on kyllä yksi lempikuukausistani, ehdottomasti. Kaikki sävyt ja värit muuttuvat täydellisiksi - lähinnä ruskeiksi ja harmaiksi. Ruska on upea mutta odotan aina sitä hetkeä kun värit haalistuvat. 

/ October is definitely one of my favorite months. All the shades and colors turn into perfect - mostly brown and grey. The fall colors are gorgeous but I always wait for that moment when the colors fade. 

Tänä lokakuu oli erityisen ihana, ainakin sään ja luonnon kannalta. Oli kaikkea! Viimeisiä väripilkahduksia, hurmaavia sumuisia aamuja ja ensimmäiset kuurat sekä tietenkin se ensilumi. Oli mekko-hetkiä ja talvitakki-hetkiä. Oli vielä vähän valoa ja pimeys, joka tuntui lempeältä. 

/ This Obtover was especially lovely, at least if you think about weather and nature. It had everything! Last splashes of color, wonderful foggy mornings and the first frosts and of course that first snow. There were dress-moments and winter jacket-moments. There were still bit of light and darkness that felt mellow. 

Muutenkin oli mukava kuukausi, täynnä monia pieniä hyviä asioita ja hetkiä. Esimerkiksi keramiikkakurssi, mitä suorastaan rakastan. Nyt se on tosin ollut jo kuukauden tauolla - en malta odottaa että se jatkuu taas tammikuussa! Ideoita ja intoa on vaikka kuinka paljon. 

/ It was a nice month otherwise too, full of little good things and moments. For example the ceramic class I'm going. I just love it. Now it's been on a break though - cant wait it to start again in January! I have ideas and enthusiasm do much. 

Ensimmäinen kulho minkä olen tehnyt, käsin nipistelemällä. Ja ihan vahingossa kahden lasitteen yhdistelmästä tuli upea!

/ First bowl I've made, by pinching. And just by accident the combination of two glazed turned out gorgeous!

Ihanaa oli myös korvapuustipäivä, oi oi. Söin liian monta puustia ja sitten kärvistelin maha kipeänä - hmm, oliko sen arvoista..? No oli! :))

/ I also loved the Cinnamon Bun Day, oh my. I ate way too many buns and then had stomach ache - hmm, was it worth it..? Well yes! :))

Tämän syksyn huippujuttu on ollut myös yhteistyö Papun kanssa. On ollut täydellistä kuvailla Papun kauniita vaatteita - ja tietenkin käyttää niitä. Sain uusia marraskuun lopussa joita en ole ihan hirveästi ehtinyt nyt kuvailemaan - toivon kovasti että huomenna alkavalla joululomalla on aikaa! 

/ This autumns great things has been also my brand prep-collaboration with Papu. It has been perfect to take pictures of those beautiful clothes - and of course to wear them. I got some new ones at the end of November but hadn't had much time to take pictures of them - I hope I can do it on my christmas vacation that starts tomorrow!

Miten epätodellista että lokakuussa oli hetken tämän näköistä.. ja nyt ulkona on vain mustaa ja mutaa ja märkää. Tulisipa lunta. 

/ How unreal that it looked like this for a while in October.. and now there's only black and mud and wet outside. Oh I wish for snow. 

Teetä metsässä, oi oi! Tätä haluan taas pian. 

/ Tea in the forest oh! I want this soon again. 

Ja tätä saankin jo ihan pian, ylihuomenna jo. Ajatella, näissä kuvissa syksy mutta täällä arjessa kohta jouluaatto. 

/ And this I'll get soon, already day after tomorrow. Think that there's autumn in these pictures but here in the everyday life it's almost Christmas eve.
