Toukokuussa saimme kaikki kukat ja kukkivat puut ja tuoksuvan ilman.

Saimme myös pikkusiskoni kylään, pitkästä aikaa. Ja siitä sain syyn tehdä taas kerran raparperipaistosta :)
/ We also got a visit from my little sister, after a long time. And I got a reason to make rhubarb-crumble again :)
Ai että miten kivalta astiapino näytti kun tyhjensin astianpesukoneen! Alimman kulhon olen tehnyt itse, muut on kirppareilta tai pieniltä savipajoilta tehtyjä löytöjä.
/ Oh how nice this looked after I emptied our dishwasher! I've made the lowest bowl myself, others I've found from flea markets or small potteries.
Ennen tätä kuvaa kompastuin vesiletkuun ja lensin pitkin pituuttani. Olin tulossa ulos, teemuki toisessa kädessä ja kamera toisessa kädessä. Alakerran eteiseen oli jäänyt vesiletku ja jotenkin kompuroin siihen ja seuraavaksi huomasin makaavani kynnyksellä, hiukset ja vaatteet aivan teessä, muki ihmeen kaupalla ehjänä kauempana ja kamera tee-lätäkössä. Selvisin parilla isolla mustelmalla ja pelästyksellä, kamerakin kuivui onneksi eikä seonnut. Välillä se vähän menee tilttiin ja pari nappia ei oikein toimi mutta silti, ei hajonnut kokonaan! Hetken sitten keräilin itseäni ja mietin itkeäkö vai nauraa, en vaan kestä itseäni :) No, keitin sitten uuden kupillisen teetä ja menin kuvaamaan niinkuin oli tarkoitus ja vähän jo hymyilyttikin.
/ Before this picture I tripped into water hose and fell to the ground. I was coming out with a teamug on my other hand and camera on the other. There was a water hose in our hallway downstairs and somehow I stumbled on it and next I noticed laying on the doorstep, my hair and clothes all soaked in tea, mug somehow still in one piece bit further and my camera in a tea-puddle. I only got couple big bruises and a scare and luckily my camera dried too and didn't broke. Sometimes is tilts and few buttons wont quite work but still it didn't broke totally! I sat for a while and thought should I cry or laugh, I just can't handle myself :) Well, I made another mugful of tea and went to take pictures as I was supposed to and even managed to smile a bit.
Kiipesin vintille - ja ihan erityisen varovasti ettei sattuisi mitään :) Ei sattunut. Valo oli ihana ja hämähäkin seittejä oli paljon.
/ I also climbed to our attic - and very carefully so nothing would happen :) And nothing happened. The light was lovely and there were lot's of spiderwebs.
Saimme vihdoin myös kauan kaivatun lämmön, se tuntui ihanalta, huumaavalta. Ja heti kun ilma vähänkin lämpenee, alkaa kunnon jäätelökausi. Voisin syödä jäätelöä vaikka kuinka paljon! Ja tämä on ehkä lemppariani, Kolmen kaveruksen mustikka-kardemumma. NAM.
/ We also got the long-waited warmth, it felt lovely, intoxicating. And as soon as the weather warms a bit, starts a real ice-cream season. I could live on ice-cream! And this is probably my favorite, blueberry-cardamom. YUM.
Tästä kuvasti ei ole kuukauttakaan ja piha on muuttunut jo aivan viidakoksi! Ja raparperit jättimäisiksi.
/ Not even one month since I took this picture and our yard has turned into jungle! And rhubarbs are giant.
Koulut aukesivat pariksi viikoksi ja se aika hujahti ihan hetkessä - yhtäkkiä olikin viimeinen koulupäivä! Miten tässä kuvassa voi olla tuleva tokaluokkalainen ja tuleva kuudesluokkalainen!? En kyllä usko!
/ So the schools opened for two weeks and that time went in a moment - suddenly it was the last school day! How can there be future second grader and future sixth grader int this picture?! I wont believe it!

Voi toukokuu, olit kyllä taas niin ihmeellinen ja pakahduttava ja kaunis. Ja valoisa ja hengästyttävä, en oikein meinannut edes pysyä aina perässä. Ja taas, aivan liian pian alkoi kesäkuu.
/ Oh May, you were so wonderful and bursting and beautiful. And bright and breathtaking, I couldn't even keep up with you always. And again, way too soon it was June.
